Python Job: Devops Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you are someone who is passionate about cloud infrastructure and security. You will be responsible for improving the underlying cloud infrastructure of 42matters, proposing best practices, increasing security and supporting other tech roles in their infrastructure needs. The best match for this position would be someone with extensive hands-on experience, who can collaborate in a team of engineers but also work autonomously where needed. AWS certification or provable similar level of knowledge and experience is highly recommended.

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, improve and maintain 42matters cloud architecture.
• Introduce cloud best practices across all areas - security, privacy, cloud costs, auditability, etc.
• Design and develop CI/CD pipelines to build, test and deploy our services
• Support in setting up VPNs, Firewalls, etc.
• Support the tech team in their infrastructure needs.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of work experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Professional experience with Amazon Web Services: IAM roles, ECS, EMR Spark, RDS, Redshift, Beanstalk, Firewall, etc.
• Experience with containerized applications (Docker).
• Experience in setting up VPNs.
• Knowledge in one or more of the following: Ansible, Terraform, Cloudformation, CDK.
• Good knowledge of Python.
• Fluent English.
• Self-motivated, team player comfortable in a small, intense and high-growth start-up environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to identify and resolve performance issues on big scale systems - IOPS, disks, memory, etc.
• Optimizing cloud computing costs.
• Proficiency in more than one programming language (Java, Bash, PHP).
• Strong SQL/Elasticsearch skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, 80-100%, Permanent

Salary: CHF78,000.00 - CHF90,000.00 per year
